About Us
We are a family-owned company with a tradition spanning more than 30 years. We’re based in Příbram, where our headquarters, wallpaper showroom, and the region’s largest bathroom studio are located. As the only Czech manufacturer of classic wallpaper, we operate a factory in Teplice—a unique facility not only in the Czech Republic but also in Central Europe. We produce wallpaper using gravure printing on high-quality non-woven and paper substrates, completely free of PVC, ensuring that our products are beautiful, durable, and environmentally friendly.
We also represent leading global brands such as Graham & Brown, Grandeco, Eijffinger, ARTE, Masureel, and Boråstapeter. Thanks to this, we offer our customers a selection ranging from Czech-made products to the latest international collections.

Thanks to gravure printing, we achieve perfect detail; we recycle materials, reduce energy consumption, and offer products that meet European standards as well as our customers’ expectations for beauty, quality, and sustainability.
Green Technologies in Příbram
At our Příbram showroom, we use solar energy not only to power the building and warehouses but also to charge electric vehicles. This helps us reduce our carbon footprint and demonstrates that modern design can go hand in hand with environmental responsibility.
Rainwater Harvesting and Upcycling
We conserve drinking water through rainwater harvesting systems in both Příbram and Teplice, while also supporting the circular economy—we turn pallets into seating and flower beds, and transform waste into new, usable materials. Every step we take is aimed at reducing our impact on the environment.
Eco-Friendly Packaging and Logistics
We pack our wallpaper and adhesives in recycled packaging and strive to minimize plastic and waste. For distribution, we partner with carriers that have a lower carbon footprint and plan our shipments to be as efficient and eco-friendly as possible.

The History of Vavex 1990
Our journey began modestly—with one product, one customer, and one dream. Today, our wallpapers adorn the walls of homes, cafes, hotels, and offices around the world.
Vavex was founded in 1990. Two years later, the company’s founder came across the wallpaper collections of one of the world’s largest manufacturers—and with them, a world of style and design unlike anything we’d seen before. He secured the distribution rights for these collections, thereby kickstarting the brand’s growth and paving the way for in-house production.
In 1997, we renovated an old factory in Teplice and launched our own wallpaper production. Vavex wallpapers gradually became a staple in the product ranges of hobby stores throughout the country. At the same time, we expanded our lineup to include brands such as Graham & Brown and Grandeco, which enriched our offerings with modern designs inspired by global trends.
We launched our online store so you could choose wallpaper from the comfort of your own home. In 2014, we added our first premium brand—the Dutch brand Eijffinger. And because we believe that design can have a deeper meaning, we launched our wallpaper collection featuring Krteček to support the Tereza Maxová Foundation.
Our factory in Teplice, where wallpapers are created from the first sketch to the final detail, has enabled us not only to supply the Czech market but also to export worldwide. We consider manufacturing and exporting our own wallpaper a true milestone—proof that Czech craftsmanship has its place in the world. Furthermore, globalization and digitalization have opened the door to customers through our e-shop, which now operates in several languages and brings our designs into homes across Europe and beyond.
Even though most shopping takes place online today, some things still deserve a personal touch. Since 2025, we’ve been the exclusive representative of the premium brand ARTE for the Czech market, and we collaborate with interior design studios where not only style but also personal consultation and attention to detail play a key role. That same year, we also joined the Helping Dolls project—because we believe that design, too, can help where it’s needed most.
