Our mission is to bring people the joy of beautiful living. We manufacture and curate wallpapers that combine quality, design, and affordability, helping to transform homes into inspiring places where people feel comfortable.
About Us
We are a family-owned company with a tradition spanning more than 30 years. We’re based in Příbram, where our headquarters, wallpaper showroom, and the region’s largest bathroom studio are located. As the only Czech manufacturer of classic wallpaper, we operate a factory in Teplice—a unique facility not only in the Czech Republic but also in Central Europe. We produce wallpaper using gravure printing on high-quality non-woven and paper substrates, completely free of PVC, ensuring that our products are beautiful, durable, and environmentally friendly.
We also represent leading global brands such as Graham & Brown, Grandeco, Eijffinger, ARTE, Masureel, and Boråstapeter. Thanks to this, we offer our customers a selection ranging from Czech-made products to the latest international collections.
Our own wallpaper production
We operate our own traditional wallpaper factory in the Czech Republic – a rarity in Central Europe. We combine more than 30 years of experience with modern technologies and a more environmentally responsible approach to production. Using gravure printing, we achieve precise details while recycling materials, reducing energy consumption and producing wallpapers that meet European standards.
Powered by solar energy
At our facilities in the Czech Republic, we use solar energy to help power our buildings and warehouses as well as to charge electric vehicles. This allows us to reduce our reliance on conventional energy sources and lower the carbon footprint of our operations.
Rainwater and upcycling
At our facilities in the Czech Republic, we collect and reuse rainwater to reduce our consumption of drinking water. We also give used materials a second life – turning pallets into seating and raised garden beds and finding new uses for materials that might otherwise become waste.
Eco-Friendly Packaging and Logistics
We pack our wallpapers and adhesives in recycled packaging and aim to minimize the use of plastic and reduce unnecessary waste. For delivery, we work with carriers that are taking steps to reduce their carbon footprint, and we plan our shipments efficiently to minimize their environmental impact.

The Vavex Story Since 1990
Our journey began modestly – with one product, one customer and one dream. Today, our wallpapers can be found in homes, cafés, hotels and offices in countries around the world.
Vavex was founded in 1990. Two years later, our founder discovered wallpaper collections from one of the world's leading manufacturers – and with them, a whole new world of style and design. He secured the distribution rights for the brand, marking the beginning of Vavex's growth and our journey towards wallpaper production of our own.
In 1997, we renovated an old factory in Teplice, Czech Republic, and launched our own wallpaper production. Vavex wallpapers gradually found their way into major retail stores, while our range continued to grow. We added brands such as Graham & Brown and Grandeco, bringing our customers contemporary designs inspired by international trends.
We launched our online shop, making it easier to discover and choose wallpaper from home. In 2014, we added our first premium brand, the Dutch design house Eijffinger. And because we believe design can have a deeper purpose, our Little Mole wallpaper collection was followed by our support for the Tereza Maxová Foundation.
Having our own factory allowed us to expand beyond our home market and bring our wallpapers to customers abroad. Producing and exporting our own collections became an important milestone in the Vavex story, and today they reach customers in many countries. Digitalisation opened up even more possibilities, with our online shop gradually expanding into several languages and bringing thousands of designs to customers across Europe.
Since 2025, we have been the exclusive representative of premium brand ARTE in the Czech market. We also work closely with interior design studios, where personal advice, attention to detail and a strong sense of style are just as important as the products themselves. In the same year, we also joined the Helping Dolls project – because we believe that design can make a difference where it matters most.
